Did you miss me?

Of course you didn’t.  Did I say a short vacation?  Well it turned into an extended period of absence.  Much needed.  I’m back now, and making comics again to litter the Internet.  I’m going to a Tuesday/Thursday update schedule for now, and I’m working on getting my buffer back so "extended absences" don’t happen.  Anyway, Tuesday will have a new comic up, and then the Thursday after that, and so on.

On Vacation… Sort of

The comic updates will be on hold until next Wednesday as I have been preparing to go out of town, and will be out of town thus preventing me from creating any new comics and updating the site.  Yep, I don’t have a buffer, haven’t had one since the fall semester started.  Anyway, I’ll be back with a new comic, for better or worse, next Wednesday, October 22nd.

Into the Looking Glass

With the end of the first installment of "How it Should Have Happened" on the books, "Into the Looking Glass" will start up on Wednesday.  I’m actually having much more fun making these than I thought I would have, and I’m almost giddy with anticipation on the release of "Into the Looking Glass."  If anyone has any suggestions for movies to "correct" in "How it Should Have Happened", please make them known in the comments section.  I would ask that you don’t tell me how it should play out, that’s my job.  I mean, if you do all the work for me, then I would feel like middle management, and nobody wants that feeling.

Off to a Good Start

For those who have stumbled upon this small section of the digital landscape, welcome.  In the near future, this page will be showing comics that I’ve created using screen captures from various movies.  The first movie on the list is 28 Weeks Later.  This comic will be part of a series called “What Should Have Happened”.  This series will explore movies that totally miss the mark on how people act and react to the world around them.  Most of the time, the movie would be over shortly after it started if the characters acted in a normal, somewhat logical manner.  Movie writers, however, ignore common sense and logic when writing characters to advance the plot, which kills any enjoyment from the movie.

The second series is titled “Into the Looking Glass”.  This is a screen capture comic that parodies the Matrix movies from the viewpoint of a roleplaying game group ala DM of the Rings and Darths and Droids.  Both of those are excellent comics, so mine should balance things out nicely.  I’ve actually had the idea of doing a Matrix themed comic for a while (ever since Shamus questioned why there wasn’t one), but held out because I was sure someone else would start it.  Well, over a year later, I guess it’s time.
